Virtual reality in Daugavpils — how we run it
People show up for VR for one of two reasons. Some saw a TikTok clip and got curious, never tried it. Others already know Beat Saber and Half-Life: Alyx and want a place where they can put the headset on and not rush. Both groups work for us.
We run two Meta Quest 3 headsets — the latest model, full-colour passthrough, around 4K per eye. No wire, no battery pack at your hip, no cable to trip on. You put it on, we calibrate to your IPD, the game starts. Library is over a hundred titles: Beat Saber, Pistol Whip, Superhot, Walkabout Mini Golf, Half-Life: Alyx, Asgard's Wrath 2, Resident Evil 4 VR, plus whatever is trending right now.
It is 7 EUR per hour per person. Half-hour session — 4.50 EUR. Students with a valid ID get 10% off everything. If two of you are coming, reserve two headsets up front and we will queue games where you can see each other's avatars in the same space.
VR works for kids from about ten and up. Before the session we adjust the headset to your eye distance, walk through the controls and run a short tutorial. If anyone feels a bit dizzy on the first try, it usually passes within five minutes or after a quick water break — we keep chairs, drinks and coffee at the bar for exactly that.
For a lot of our regulars, we are the best place in Daugavpils to throw a birthday party for a teenager or young adult. Two hours for three friends with a tab from the bar, or up to ten people with the full-club rental — both leave a mark. We can plan the evening with you: VR plus a sim-racing turn, VR plus a PS5 tournament, cake on the table once the headsets come off.
Booking is online. Pick a date — the system only shows free slots and will not let two parties overlap. Pay on arrival, cash or card. We are open Tuesday to Sunday, closed Mondays. Friday and Saturday we run until midnight. Address: Lačpleša iela 39b, two minutes' walk from the bus station, parking right next door.
